Celebrate the Music, the Arts, the History and the Culture of the New Bedford Area


The Upper William Street Neighborhood Festival is happening Saturday September 24th from noon to 4pm.
Join the William Street party (between Sixth & Eighth Street) for an afternoon of free fun and community collaboration.  

Look for live performances at the First Unitarian Church (including The Tryworks Auditorium
The Sanctuary and the Garden) and the First Universalist Church. Music includes Folk, Chorale, the New Bedford Symphony, New Bedford Harbor Sea Chantey Chorus, Harpoon Harmonizers, the Jethros, the Toe Jam Puppet Band and so many more.

Stop by Gallery X for art and photography exhibits including:
-  Ship Shape: the marine activity of the South Coast New England area
- ReUse + History = ART of the Ernestina-Morrissey: a benefit arts show for the Schooner Ernestina– Morrissey
- Paintings of Donald Beal and David Paulsen in the Frederick Douglass Gallery

Don’t miss the NB Beautiful photo exhibit in the Parish House of the First Unitarian Church.

The 1833 First Unitarian Church, The 1855 First Universalist Church (Gallery X), and the 1829 First Baptist Church are not only historic structures they are vital and can offer so much to the community This is a chance to visit and learn a bit of the history of these beautiful buildings and our efforts to save these treasures long into the future. AHA!, Your Theatre, WHALE , The City of New Bedford and many others have combined efforts to help showcase this city’s incredible talent and diversity. New Bedford has recently been ranked one of the top ten most creative cities---come see why!
