  • New Bedford NHP Thursday Summer Sounds, 6:30pm in the National Park Visitor Center Garden. This weeks featured performer is Sparky and Rhonda Rucker with African-American song and story.
  • Paperbag puppts at Artworks! 5-7pm
  • Farmers Market in Wings Court from 2pm-dusk.
  • New Bedford Whaling Museum presents Triton Brass: Music for a Summer Eve, 7:30pm. A good, old-fashioned town band concert! Based in Boston, Triton Brass is an exciting musical collaborative comprising five of the region's most promising young brass artists.  Four of the five members of Triton Brass are also members of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra.
  • Kid Central at the YMCA! Activities may include Carabineer’s Climbing Wall, Solstice Skate Jams and Art Activities with the NBAM ArtMobile.
  • Wings Court Music Series presents Buzzard Blue Band, 7-9pm.

July 29

August 5

  • New Bedford NHP Thursday Summer Sounds, 6:30pm in the National Park Visitor Center Garden. This weeks featured performer isDebra Cowan with maritime ballads.
  • New Bedford Whaling Museum presents a John Mock Performance. Maritime-themed folk/classics music, performed on guitar, concertina and whistle plus his fine art photography. 7:30pm
  • Hands-on art activities at Artworks!
  • Voices of the Sea at the Ocean Explorium: Students from Roosevelt Middle School will star in a play they wrote and directed which depicts the lives of local marine animals, 5-6pm.
  • The Collectors Forum: Connecting through Collecting
    Stop by for the inagural meeting! Collecting 101: The How, Why and What of Collecting Art With David B. Boyce, 7-9pm @ Crowell's Fine Art

  • New Bedford Whaling Museum is presents an “Elegant Evening” with the NBSO String Quartet. Comprised of some of the finest performers in the NBSO, and presenting a program of elegant and entertaining music for an evening in the “parlor.” 7:30pm
  • Farmers Market in Wings Court from 2pm-dusk.
  • Hands-on art activities at Artworks!
  • NBAM ArtMobile
  • Opening & Artists Reception for David Loeffler Smith: Recent Work @ Crowells Fine Art, 6-8pm.
